3 Quick Ways To Add Color To Stamped Images
Carly here and I'm thrilled to be here sharing on The Gray Muse blog today! Before I share a few quick ways I like to add color to stamped images, I want to get a tiny bit off topic... I'm not only excited to be here because I think the crafty goodies are top notch (which they are), but I also think that Rubeena (the boss babe behind The Gray Muse) is an amazing person!
Rubeena is not only filling her shop with beautiful products, she is spreading positivity and light. She uses words on beautiful stamps, adorable pins, fun Instagram posts and more, to share kindness and encourage creativity. She's pretty darn cool!
Ok, tangent over, LOL! Now let's talk cards...

Sometimes I like to encourage my own creativity with little challenges like using a small set of supplies to create different cards.
For these cards, I planned to use the same layout, the same color palette and minimal supplies. It's always a fun to see what I can come up with!

For the first card, I stamped the gorgeous flowers from the Happiness Blooms stamp set on white cardstock. I used low-tack tape to mask a small section and then used blending brushes to add pink & aqua inks.

For the second card, I stamped the blooms on colored cardstock. Then I used just a few Copic markers to do some selective & monochromatic coloring.

And for the third card, I inked the stamp with two colors of ink...pink on one side and aqua on the other. Before stamping, I misted the stamp with a generous amount of water. After stamping, the ink pooled and created a faux watercolor effect. After the panel was dry, I stamped the blooms again in black.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
